Beneficiation is the most important link in the whole production of mineral products. Generally, large-scale mining enterprises are resource enterprises of comprehensive mining, beneficiation and metallurgy. The process of separating useful minerals from useless minerals (usually gangue) or harmful minerals in mineral raw materials by physical or chemical methods, or of separating various useful minerals, is also called "mineral processing". In the products, concentrate with enriched useful components, tailings with enriched useless components and middling ore with content between concentrate and tailings need further treatment.
The concentrator ball mill produced by our company is a horizontal cylindrical rotating device with outer gear transmission, two warehouses and lattice steel slag ball mill. Ore is spirally entered into the first bin of the mill through the feeding hollow shaft of the feeding device. There are stepped or corrugated lining plates in the bin, which contain steel balls of different specifications. The centrifugal force produced by the rotation of the cylinder brings the steel balls to a certain height and then falls down, which has a heavy blow and grinding effect on minerals. After rough grinding in the first bin, the minerals enter the second bin through a single-layer partition board. The bin is equipped with a flat lining board and steel balls, which further grinds the ore. The ore powder is discharged through the discharging grate to complete the grinding operation.
Structural characteristics of ball mill for ore dressing:
The mill is composed of feeding part, discharging part, rotary part and transmission part (reducer, small transmission gear, motor, electronic control) etc. The hollow shaft is made of cast steel with removable lining, and the rotary gear is hobbed by casting. The cylinder body is equipped with wear-resistant lining plate, which has good wear resistance. The machine runs smoothly and works reliably.
The working principle of mineral processing ball mill:
Ore dressing ball mill is composed of horizontal cylinder, hollow shaft of feed and discharge material and grinding head. The cylinder is a long cylinder with grinding body inside. The cylinder is made of steel plate. The cylinder is fixed with steel lining plate. The grinding body is generally a steel ball, which is loaded into the cylinder according to different diameter and certain proportion. The grinding body can also be used in steel section. According to the particle size of the grinding material, the material is loaded into the cylinder by the hollow axle of the feed end of the mill. When the ball mill cylinder rotates, the grinding body is carried away by the cylinder on the liner of the nearby cylinder due to inertia and centrifugal force and friction. When it is brought to a certain height, the grinding body is carried away by the cylinder because of its own gravity. The function is thrown down, and the falling abrasive body smashes the material in the cylinder like a projectile.

In the process of cylinder turning, the abrasive body also slips. In order to make effective use of the abrasive effect, when the size of the material is generally 20 meshes fine, the abrasive cylinder is divided into two sections with partition board, that is, double silos. When the material enters the first silo, it is hit by steel balls. When the material enters the second warehouse, the steel end grinds the material. The qualified material is discharged from the hollow shaft of the discharging end. When the material with small feed particles is grinded, such as sand No. 2 slag, coarse fly ash and the barrel body of the grinder can be milled into a single warehouse without partition. The grinding volume can also be used as a steel section.
